Timeline
Once Upon A Time
Frank Piunno Sr. founds MCR and quickly establishes it to be a complete resource for personalized direct marketing communications need.
Frank spent over 16 years serving as a Vice President of a laser printing service bureau in the greater Cleveland area before founding MCR.
Moving On...
MCR moves from our one-room office in Beachwood to Mayfield and acquired equipment from Eco Centers, including our first servers. This acquisition allows MCR to do more work internally and focus on information management.
New Direction
The purchase of our first large scale variable data printer shifts our main business to printing and distribution.
"Let's Get Digital, DIGITAL!"
MCR invests in digital color printing with the purchase of its first variable color printer.
Onward and Upward
Case Western Reserve University honors MCR's 14th year in business as one of the Weatherhead 100, which celebrates the fastest growing companies in the Cleveland area. At this point, MCR employs 35 Office & Production workers and is just reaching 200 clients.
MCR purchases its first camera-match inserting machines, a big step towards offering cost-effective personalized direct mail.
El Presidente
MCR purchases a 70,000 sq. ft. building that houses all staff and equipment under one roof in Willoughby, Ohio (25 minutes east of downtown Cleveland).
Frank Piunno Sr. begins retirement and appoints his two sons, Dominic and Frank Piunno Jr., to President and Executive Vice President, respectively.
iGen
MCR purchases “The iGen” which prints large, personalized full-color sheets and allows MCR to offer even more cost-effective printing solutions.
Double Trouble
MCR doubles in size since 2007 and is now working with over 500 organizations across the country in the Higher Education, Healthcare, Government, and Non-Profit industries.
MCR purchases the Mole, a machine that can efficiently affix, fold and seal self-mailers, newsletters, magnet postcards or anything that requires the affixing of two pieces.
Good Penmanship
MCR purchases the Live Scribe machine, which uses ball point pens for real hand-written messaging which now allows for more personalized communications to your most prestigious VIP
